Container and Truck Handling

PCDC provides container unstuffing services, container stuffing services and truck loading services under TIR.

Unstuffing Containers

Includes the unloading of the contents (whole or part) of groupage loads or for a single consignee, palletization and import into the warehouse per HBL and by product code and delivering the goods to the ramp of the warehouse for loading by the final recipients, upon customs formalities completion.

Stuffing Containers

Includes the receipt of cargoes to be exported, their stuffing into an empty container (partial or total), its sealing and forwarding to the terminal for loading on board vessel.

Unloading / Loading of TIR trucks

It concerns the unloading of trucks carrying goods under the TIR transit procedure. It includes the entry of trucks into the Free Zone, their receipt by PCDC, unloading of the contents, counting, sorting and palletizing by HBL, importation into the warehouse and the delivery of the goods to the ramp of the warehouse for loading by the final recipients, upon customs formalities completion.

As PCDC is licensed as an Authorized Consignee, it offers simplification of T1 receipts for consignments arriving by road at its premises for unloading or transit.

Wide range of services:

  • Receipt of goods and put away following quantitative, qualitative and macroscopic inspection
  • Product sorting and classification per SKU and/or LOT by applying inventory management methods (FIFO, FEFO, LIFO, etc.) according to customer requirements
  • Storage in appropriate conditions, depending on the category of goods and customer requirements. Storage in ambient, refrigerated, deep freezing and hazardous (IMO)
  • Special order management via use of EDI interconnections
  • Collection, sorting, verification and control of orders to be shipped
  • Repackaging capability based on customer needs
  • Issuance of the required tax documents (dispatch notes, T1, etc.) accompanying the carriage of goods
  • Transport and distribution at delivery points specified by the customer
  • Inventory counts on a yearly basis or following customer suggestions
  • Recording KPI’s and preparing reports based on customer needs
