Electronic Services E-services
With the aim of delivering more direct, cost-effective and efficient services, avoiding additional time-consuming communications and reducing any failures, PCDC’s e-services are available for:
- Container unstuffing assignments
- Assignments for receipt of cargoes to be stuffed into containers
- Issuance of truck entry codes to PCDC premises for receipt or delivery of cargoes
- Dispatch of cargoes following customs clearance
Access to the E-services application is via an online platform using special secret passwords
Analysis and Description of E - Services Platform Services
- Electronic Assignment for Unstuffing Container / Unloading TIR / Cross docking by directly posting the receipt details on the E – Services platform. The user directly enters the information and the receipt instructions to the platform with a simple procedure and standard Excel files and is given the option to attach the necessary documents. This makes information management more organized, all data is aggregated in a table and the user has complete control over their records as the process of exchanging emails, various files and PCDC user intervention is eliminated. Electronic assignments mail and data recording can be made on a 24/7 basis
- Job Completion Update: the user is informed directly about the completion of the job by automated emails sent. At the same time, through the platform, is informed in real time about the progress of works without having to wait for PCDC to update. Access to information is available 24 hours a day and not just during the PCDC’s opening hours and without any delay. (process to be implemented)
- Access to inventory information: Is provided to users on line to monitor stocks and the customs status of their cargoes (customs cleared, bonded). All information is aggregated in a single window, with the user having complete control and information of their stocks whilst avoiding multiple emails being exchanged with PCDC staff
- Electronic Delivery Order: the user can submit the delivery order electronically to the Freight Owner / Consignee and submit receipt instructions for their cargoes. In this way, the delivery order hardcopy is eliminated, print outs are reduced, no physical presence and unnecessary movements of the Freight Owner / Consignee or their customs representative at PCDC branch arerequired to deliver and submit the delivery order document and the user has all the information of the delivery orders issued in a single window
- Electronic Assignment for Customs Clearance and Issuance of Customs Certificate Status (CCS): the Customer Owner / Consignee customs representative is informed immediately and electronically via an automated email message from E – Services that he has been assigned a customs clearance job. With personal access codes, he/she connects to the platform and initiates the customs clearance process, electronically submitting a request to issue a CCS and attaches the relevant supporting documents. CCS is sent electronically to Customs, which following completion of customs clearance procedures, electronically informs PCDC with the corresponding MRN and the cargo is released in PCDC stock. In this way, information is exchanged immediately, no physical presence is required, unnecessary movement is avoided and customs clearance time is greatly reduced.
Upon completion of customs clearance, the customs broker shall be informed via E – Services and declare the expected delivery date of the goods as well as the driver and car details.
- Electronic Creation of Receipt Orders: the user is able to create an electronic receipt order, provide electronically information relative to the receipt (vehicle, driver, date) and receive electronically entry codes for the receiving vehicles. This way information management is more organized, all data are aggregated in a table and the user has complete control over their records as the process of exchanging emails, various files and PCDC user interference is eliminated.
- Reports and copies of documents : the user can retrieve information through specific reports on transactional history, on item statements – AKLA, on the status of their orders, as well as documents on their cargoes directly through the E – platform services. Indicatively, receipt notes contain photos and remarks of cargoes upon receipt, thus providing a complete picture to the user. In this way, information is gathered in one place and the user has better control over their movements.
- Electronic Stuffing Order Creation by directly posting the receipt details on the E – Services platform. The user directly enters the information and the receipt instructions in the E – Services platform with a simple procedure and standard Excel files. Upon completion of the recording, he/she automatically receives the passwords for the vehicles carrying the cargoes. This way information management is more organized, all data are aggregated in a table and the user has complete control over their records as the process of exchanging emails, various files and PCDC user interference is eliminated. The E – Services platform is available 24 hours a day for creating electronic requests
- Electronic passcode acquisition: the user directly enters into the application the vehicle and driver details for the delivery of containers to be stuffed by external depots and automatically obtains access codes per vehicle. This way the service is instant, the user has control over their records, no PCDC interference and e-mail messaging is required, and the code acquisition process can be accessed 24 hours a day without any time delay
- Delivery Completion Update: the user is informed directly about the completion of the consignments to be exported. Through the E – Services platform , the user is informed in real time about the progress of receipts, is immediately informed of any remarks and photographs of cargoes as well as of the customs status of cargoes (customs cleared or bonded), without the need to wait for emails that require PCDC users to act . Access to information is available 24 hours a day without any delay. Through the application, all information is aggregated in a single window, the user has complete control and real- time updating of their inventory and avoids the exchange of multiple emails with PCDC staff, with significant time savings.
- Stuffing Completion Update: the user is informed directly about the completion of the stuffing tasks via automated emails. Access to information is available 24 hours a day and not just during PCDC’s working hours without any delay

The E – Services platform is soon expected to be enriched with new services such as Proof of Delivery ( PoD ), Proof of Receipt ( PoR ), Track & Trace , Electronic Invoicing and Electronic Payment Management.
